UTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for UTET Paper-I (For Primary Teachers)

If you aspire to become a primary teacher in Uttarakhand, you must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • a) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or BTC.
  • b) Scored at least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or BTC, as per the NCTE Act 2002 guidelines.
  • c) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • d) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Special Education.
  • e) Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • f) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
  • g) Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

UTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for UTET Paper-II (For Upper Primary Teachers)

If you aim to become an upper primary teacher, the following eligibility criteria apply:

  • a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • b) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • c) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • d) Scored at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and possess a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
  • e) Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • f) Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) through IGNOU.

  • Candidates with educational qualifications from recognized Indian universities or boards are eligible for UTET.
  • Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC and Disabled) will receive a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks for UTET.
