FMGE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: You should be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
- Medical Qualification: You must have a recognized medical degree approved by the Indian Embassy in the country where you studied. The final exam results should be declared before 30th April 2023.
- Documents: Provide proof that your final medical exam results were declared on or before the specified date and show that you completed all the required courses successfully.
- Eligibility Certificate: If you studied medicine abroad after May 2018, you must pass the “National-Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Admission to MBBS course” (NEET-UG) to get an Eligibility Certificate.
- Valid Documents: Make sure all your documents, including the Eligibility Certificate (if needed) and your Medical Degree Certificate, are correctly apostilled/attested by the Indian Embassy.
- Special Cases: If you have medical qualifications from certain countries and meet specific criteria, you may not need to take the FMGE.
- Candidates from Pakistan: If you studied in Pakistan, you’ll need security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs before your FMGE result can be declared.
- Admit Cards: The admit cards you receive are provisional, and your eligibility will be verified. If you’re found ineligible later, your candidature will be canceled.
